I know that Thursday is your birthday, but I would like to take you out (yes, I am actually talking about leaving the house, willingly) for dinner this weekend in celebration. If you would like, I mean. |

part of a post to SuperNo board, in the "Rants" section:
| ...the registry was announced and the first thing we all heard from every corner of the Super world was the whining and tantrums of children who've been allowed to run free for far too long. They've whined we're treating them like sex offenders, but haven't some of their crimes been worse than things some registered sex offenders have done? Look at the attack on the Mall. The Midnight Hand's murders. The other things that we all know have been done by them that haven't been proven yet, but may be at any time. They want to be allowed to run free because a few of them aren't using their powers for evil. There are people who would murder out there who don't do it, but COULD. If we had a way to test them and see who had the capability, who was 85% likely or higher, wouldn't it behoove us to register them? To watch them a little more carefully? We're talking about people who are 100 percent capable and at least 98% likely to use the ability. The children must be punished when they do wrong, and the world will be safer with this registry in place. Let them bitch and whine. I can handle it. For the safety of you and everyone I care about, I'm willing to deal with a lot more than this. Stay strong! |
